Lo scopo di questo studio è stato quello di indagare la relazione tra il livello di stress e l’aderenza al trattamento in pazienti diabetici di tipo 2 in un’istituzione sanitaria pubblica di Xalapa-Veracruz, utilizzando gli strumenti Perceived Stress Scale 14 e Morisky Green 8, confrontando l’età e il sesso con le variabili stress e aderenza al trattamento. Si tratta di uno studio descrittivo prospettico a cui hanno partecipato volontariamente 44 persone. Analisi dei risultati. I dati hanno evidenziato un livello di aderenza terapeutica più elevato negli uomini e un livello di stress più basso o quasi nullo, mentre il contrario è avvenuto nelle donne, che hanno mostrato un livello medio e basso di aderenza terapeutica e un livello di stress nelle categorie occasionalmente e spesso. Conclusioni. I dati suggeriscono un ulteriore studio di queste relazioni, poiché sembra che la popolazione femminile mostri una bassa aderenza al trattamento e livelli di stress frequenti come fattori di rischio.
