The poetry collection of Charles C. Meyers, Jr. in 'Reflection on the Bridge' encompasses over a decade of poems he has written since 2014 with one focus: Hope. Each poem is sequenced to tell the story of Charles’ experiences in life from his mental perspective, as his thought process transitions from childhood to adulthood. In order to understand his commitment to hope, it is important to understand his journey from the beginning. Each chapter provides insight into his dedication to growing his mind, strengthening his hope, shaping his knowledge, and sharing any wisdom gained. As he begins eyeing his next chapter, he knows hope will be with him. However, is having hope enough for each person to overcome any obstacle in life? How does someone truly become hopeful in life? Although Charles was able to realize the importance of hope for himself, he recognizes that someone may need more strength to make it through each day. His desire is to be a bridge for others, understanding the importance of making someone’s path a little easier down the line. When you can genuinely encourage and provide guidance to those around you, the door of opportunity opens to catalyze each person to be who God called them to be. Charles knows the value of having hope. His hope now is to allow the transparency of his own life to be a beacon of hope for your life.

Second, and closely related to the first tenet, man is not separable from his environment. We all share in this...
