Redes, alianzas y afinidades presenta la producción intelectual de mujeres latinoamericanas de los siglos XIX y XX en el espacio de prácticas culturales que exceden la escritura y la sitúan en la construcción de las redes que han permitido a las mujeres elaborar e instalar sus discursos. Los estudios aquí reunidos observan los procesos de inserción de las escritoras latinoamericanas en el campo cultural y su posterior profesionalización, constatando que ellas ingresan al campo como sujetos subordinados que carecen de legitimidad para hacer uso de la palabra y ejercer públicamente el oficio de la letra. En ese trayecto, las mujeres construyen alianzas personales y colectivas que trascienden las demarcaciones nacionales o ideológicas, desplazándose física o discursivamente para dar cuenta de las escritoras afines o solidarizarse con campañas empren-didas por otras; para difundir, apoyar y visibilizar los discursos producidos por sus compañeras de ruta. 10
