A foreign object passes through Earth’s orbit leaving death and destruction in its wake. It also leaves a form of radio activity that renders women infertile. Earth’s population is dwindling because there are no births except in a small corner of the Amazon jungle. A plane carrying a group of scientists to a conference in Brazil crashes in that area and the two survivors realize they must determine why the indigenous women are immune to the effects of the foreign body or Earth will have a rebirth of humanity.
