He’s on a mission to win back the heart of the only woman he’s ever loved, but there’s a problem. He’s stuck in the body of a man she’s never met.Richard Dunham awakes in a hospital with no memory of the accident that allegedly killed him. He thinks he knows his name, but the hospital staff disagrees. Confusion turns to terror when he looks in the mirror and a stranger looks back. When a mysterious old man shows up at his bedside with tall tales of a life-and death-for which he has no recall, Richard realizes that he’s not in Kansas anymore. He has no point of reference, no memories of his own, no idea of the kind of man he’d been. When a series of flashbacks begin to paint a picture of his past life, Richard doesn’t like what he sees.Richard, now Michael Riordan, must navigate his way through an unfamiliar landscape as he embarks on an unexpected life-or-death mission. When the obstacles in his path appear insurmountable, Richard must make a choice. Will he let his past determine his future, or will he discover that it’s never too late to be what he might have been?Disclaimer: Reason to Live is a re-write of my first novel, A Lifetime Last Night, that more closely follows the screenplay adaptation. While the story is told differently, the premise and many of the characters are the same.

  • Mississippi Goddamn
    Jonathan Norton
“Some shows have warnings for strobe lights. Some have them for loud gunshots.  Some for smoke.   MISSISSIPPI GODDAMN, a new play by Jonathan Norton should have one for intensity.   Granted, anyone attending a play about civil rights pioneer Medgar Evers set in 1963 Jackson, Mississippi, should expect some strife. Blood in the battle for racial equality is no surprise, but f...

  • The Lady From Maxim’s
    Georges Feydeau / Laurence Senelick
“It seems to me that for fertility in droll inventions, the perpetual outpouring of unforeseen misunderstandings, for the inexhaustible gaiety of dialogue, Feydeau’s new play is superior to everything he’s written so far. The most astonishing thing is the sureness with which everything is controlled, explained, justified, in the most extravagant buffoonery. The cross-purpose...

  • Fit For A Queen
    Betty Shamieh
“Plenty of glamorous backstabbing, diva dissing and sexual double-crossing…has every right to claim the name Dynasty for itself.  But the title character in Betty Shamieh’s bouncy, bumpy comic melodrama is the real thing. A queen, I mean, and not just of the self-dramatizing type. Scratch that. She’s more than a queen. She’s a pharaoh, one Hatshepsut, who reigned over Egypt ...
