'The content of this book comes from the EMBA program offered by the author for the National Development Institute of Peking University in recent years. The author believes that in order to understand any phenomenon in China, the first step is to place it within the framework of the triple transformation period, focusing on the ethical behavior of the transitional society. The emerging problems have inspired the author to form some ''principles'' during decades of research and thinking. This book is divided into four lectures, which explore the fundamental ethical issues of a stable society, the ethical issues of a transitional society, and the ethical issues of a transitional Chinese society. Ethics, in a broad and widely applicable sense, can be summarized in one sentence as wisdom about social life. Chinese society is in a period of triple transformation, which is why there are unique life and business issues in contemporary China. Short term behavior cannot generate stable behavioral expectations, so there is no normal corporate culture. This is the basic situation of Chinese society during the transition period, where everyone rationally expects everyone’s behavior to be short-term. People who are not as expected are actually irrational. How can we solve the wisdom of social life? How to achieve deep emotional communication between people?本书内容出自作者近年为北京大学国家发展研究院开设的EMBA课程。作者认为，要理解任何中国现象，首先要将中国现象置于三重转型期的理解框架之内，关注转型期社会的伦理行为，其中涌现的问题，激发了作者在几十年研究和思考的过程中形成了一些'原理'。本书共分四讲，先后探讨了稳态社会的伦理学基本问题、转型期社会的伦理学基本问题，以及转型期中国社会的伦理学基本问题。伦理学，广义的，蕞大适用范围的伦理学，用一句话概括，是关于社会生活的智慧。中国社会处于三重转型期，于是才有中国当代独有的人生问题与企业问题。短期行为不能产生稳定的行为预期，于是也没有正常的企业文化。这是转型期中国社会的基本状况，人人理性预期人人行为短期化。不如此预期的人，反而不理性。我们该如何求解社会生活的智慧？该如何达致人与人之间深层的情感交流？
