'Ready, Set, Grow' was designed for YOU! This book includes fifty-two weekly devotionals to help you learn more about Christ. Each devotional is composed of three main parts: 'Ready,' 'Set,' and 'Grow.' 'READY' is defined as, 'to prepare someone or something for an activity or purpose.' This section of the devotional includes a personal story and message that should prepare you to absorb His truths and act upon them.'SET' is defined as 'to put, lay, or stand something in a specified place or position.' This portion of the devotion contains multiple scripture verses. Scripture allows us to understand God’s story and our position as His most treasured and beloved children. 'GROW' is 'to progress to maturity.' The last portion of each devotion includes a personal challenge or activity that is intended to mature your faith through intentional actions.I chose to write a devotion that was weekly rather than daily for a very important reason. My prayer is that you would marinate on the contents of each devotion all week, reflecting on the story, memorizing the scriptures, and engaging in the suggested activities. Colossians 2:6-7 says, 'Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.' My only goal in writing 'Ready, Set, Grow' is to magnify the name of Christ. My prayer is that this book would allow you to draw nearer to Christ and learn more of His magnificent character and unending love. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.' God has big plans for you, so without further ado, Ready...Set...Grow! 3
