Das Rauchen stellt weltweit ein großes Problem für die öffentliche Gesundheit dar. Die Raucherentwöhnung bereitet viele Schwierigkeiten, wobei das Hauptrisiko ein Rückfall ist.Ziel unserer Studie war es, die Motivation zum Rauchstopp bei Raucherinnen und Rauchern, die einen Angehörigen im Krankenhaus haben, zu bewerten und die Besonderheiten ihres Rauchens sowie die damit verbundenen Stimmungsstörungen zu untersuchen.Wir führten eine zweimonatige prospektive Querschnittsstudie bei 70 Raucherinnen und Rauchern durch, die einen Angehörigen in der Lungenabteilung hospitalisiert hatten. Es wurde ein Fragebogen zur Bewertung von Angst- und Depressionsstörungen (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, HAD), der Abhängigkeit (Fagerström-Score) und der Motivation zum Rauchstopp (Q-MAT-Skala) ausgehändigt. Nach drei Monaten wurde ein Telefonanruf getätigt, um das Raucherprofil neu zu bewerten.
