        A pregnant Mayan woman goes into the vast Yucatan jungle where she gives birth. She and her child survive in an ancient, abandoned city with an undisturbed cenote. The two endure until the boy leaves and make his way to civilization. This book pays tribute to the importance of the protection and preservation of this people and their prehistoric treasures, which are buried throughout the peninsula we know as the Yucatan.
