Currently, chronic diseases require costly treatments for the Unified Health System (SUS), among them Chronic Renal Failure, whose main causes include high blood pressure and diabetes mellitus. With the increase in the number of diagnosed cases of CRF in Brazil, kidney disease is considered by the Ministry of Health to be a public health problem, with the number of patients increasing faster than the Brazilian population. This book is based on research that aimed to assess the quality of life of patients with Chronic Renal Failure undergoing haemodialysis treatment in the municipality of Caratinga, Minas Gerais. Thus, this study contributes to broadening the understanding of this topic, especially so that health professionals who work or intend to work with patients with chronic renal failure realise the need to assess the quality of life of these people and can promote changes relevant to their reality.
