Introdução:O prolapso dos órgãos pélvicos é uma patologia funcional frequente com repercussões psicológicas, sociais e fisiológicas.O objetivo do nosso trabalho é avaliar a qualidade de vida das pacientes após o tratamento do prolapso genital por promontofixação.1º capítulo: MetodologiaCapítulo 1: MetodologiaEstudo analítico transversal realizado num período de dez anos, entre 2012 e 2022, em doentes operadas por prolapso genital no serviço de ginecologia de Monastir-Tunísia.Capítulo 2: ResultadosO grupo etário mais visado situa-se entre os 50 e os 70 anos. O sinal funcional mais frequentemente referido foi a sensação de uma bola intra-vaginal (89,5%). Os sintomas urinários e digestivos são também frequentes. A disfunção sexual está frequentemente associada ao prolapso.Capítulo 3: DiscussãoO nosso trabalho confirmou o benefício da promontofixação em termos de qualidade de vida e sexualidade, de acordo com 2 instrumentos de medição: o auto-questionário Pelvic Floor Distress Inventory (PFDI 20) e o Pelvic Organ Prolaps/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire (PISQ-12).Conclusão:A promontofixação demonstrou ser eficaz numa vasta gama de doentes.
