Le Dzogchen est l’état de grande perfection. Dans le Bön, il existe neuf étapes pour atteindre l’éveil. La voie graduelle comprend les huit premières étapes et inclut de nombreuses pratiques et enseignements. L’enseignement Dzogchen est l’étape la plus élevée et introduit directement le Dharmakaya ou la bouddhéité primordiale. Celle-ci est atteinte au moyen d’une unique pratique : la méditation en un seul point sur la nature de l’esprit. Le méditant va au-delà de l’esprit ordinaire et rencontre l’inconcevable immensité de l’esprit naturel et de la vérité ultime. Toutes les illusions, l’ignorance et les facteurs afflictifs sont libérés. Libérer le pratiquant des problèmes quotidiens est bénéfique, mais le Dzogchen, la voie de la libération, est l’ultime bienfait.
