Der Alltag wird technisiert. Technik wird alltäglich. Was heißt technischer Wandel für die, die ihn gestalten, und was für diejenigen, die mit ihm (nur) konfrontiert sind? Antwort auf solche Fragen gibt die Analyse von Alltagswissen über technischen Wandel am Beispiel von Haushaltstechnik, Computer und Fernsehen. Alltagswissen wird in der sozialkonstruktivistischen Perspektive der sozialen Repräsentationen konzipiert, wobei der Akzent auf seinen narrativen Anteilen liegt. Das hier entwickelte, episodische Interview dient der Rekonstruktion des Alltagswissens. Thematisiert werden darin erste Erfahrungen mit Technik, Veränderungen ihrer alltäglichen Verwendung und Folgen zunehmender Technisierung. Ergebnisse sind eine Alltagstheorie technischen Wandels und ihre jeweiligen Akzentuierungen bei verschiedenen Berufsgruppen (Informatiker, Sozialwissenschaftler, Lehrer) in Frankreich,Ost- und Westdeutschland.
