Ce travail examine les cellules photovoltaïques organiques (CPO) comme solution innovante aux défis énergétiques mondiaux. Après un aperçu des tendances de consommation énergétique et la nécessité des énergies renouvelables, l’accent est mis sur l’énergie solaire photovoltaïque. La structure, le fonctionnement et les matériaux des CPO, tels que les polymères conjugués et les fullerènes, sont détaillés. Les techniques de caractérisation comme la spectroscopie UV-Vis, la photoluminescence et les courbes courant-tension (I-V) sont explorées. Les simulations de six molécules organiques révèlent leurs propriétés électroniques et leur efficacité de conversion énergétique. La meilleure molécule sensibilisatrice est identifiée, soulignant l’importance de la recherche continue pour améliorer les performances et la stabilité des CPO, démontrant leur potentiel à rivaliser avec les technologies photovoltaïques traditionnelles.
