L’ouvrage explore et analyse les différentes formes créatives en quête d’une protection juridique par la propriété littéraire et artistique puisant leur source dans la foi religieuse, voire chrétienne et musulmane, ou issues d’un sentiment religieux (telles que la récitation du Coran, le discours religieux  khotba et prêche , la calligraphie musulmane, l’art de l’icône chrétienne et les compilations et traductions religieuses). Il consacre même des développements équivalents en direction des spiritualités orientales qui consistent en des formes induites par l’intériorisation d’une pratique spirituelle (à savoir, le dhikr soufi, le yoga et la danse des derviches tourneurs).Pour chaque manifestation religieuse (divine ou spirituelle), l’auteur distingue les formes créatives originales susceptibles de protection selon les lois française et égyptienne et les formes qui, ne répondant à pas un strict processus créatif, ne peuvent être protégées que par un monopole légal ou un mécanisme de responsabilité.Quoique l’ouvrage soit essentiellement centré sur le droit d’auteur franco-égyptien, l’auteur y intègre également certains aspects empruntés au copyright, lequel offre quelques applications jurisprudentielles intéressantes.
