Neste trabalho, amostras policristalinas dos sistemas tetragonais BaBi2Nb2O9 (BBN), BBN co-dopado com Er3+/Yb3+ e BBN tri-dopado com Tm3+/Er3+/Yb3+ foram sintetizadas pelo método de estado sólido de alta temperatura. Difração de raios-X, microscopia eletrônica de varredura e fotoluminescência à temperatura ambiente foram utilizadas para analisar as propriedades estruturais, morfológicas e óticas dos sistemas luminescentes. Os resultados indicam que todas as composições cristalizam no grupo espacial I4/mmm à temperatura ambiente e exibem emissões UC sob excitação em 980nm por laser infravermelho. A série BBN:Er3+/Yb3+ apresentou emissões UC verdes (528nm e 548nm) e emissão UC vermelha (664nm). Todos os fósforos da série emitem luz verde-amarelada com alto percentual de saturação, cujas coordenadas de cromaticidade são pouco sensíveis à variação da potência de bombeamento. Os fósforos tri-dopados BBN:Tm3+/Er3+/Yb3+ exibiram emissões UC azuis (463nm, 484nm), verdes (528nm, 548nm) e vermelhas (648nm, 664nm, 696nm). A introdução de íons Li+ no BBN:0,5%Tm3+0,05%Er3+8%Yb3+ induziu um ajuste dos valores triestímulos deslocando as coordenadas cromáticas do fósforo para a região do branco ideal. Luz branca de alta pureza de cor proveniente da composição BBN2LTEY foi obtida sob densidade de potência moderada. Os resultados estabelecem a fase BBN como uma matriz hospedeira alternativa para a obtenção de materiais luminescentes com alta estabilidade térmica e emissões UC intensas. 10
