Ce livre vise à mettre en évidence le fait que le sperme du bélier garole et du mâle noir du Bengale contient des protéines similaires (antigènes) qui pourraient à l’avenir être utilisées comme source d’antigènes pour la production de vaccins (immunocontraceptifs) à grande échelle dans le commerce. Les antigènes présents dans le sperme sont en fait responsables de la production d’anticorps dans le système lorsqu’ils sont introduits dans la circulation générale à partir de l’appareil reproducteur par l’intermédiaire d’une partie aberrée et sont également capables de produire des anticorps lorsqu’ils sont injectés à l’extérieur à d’autres espèces, ce qui peut conduire à l’immuno-fertilité. La tentative de créer une infertilité chez les lapins en utilisant des spermatozoïdes de mammifères pourrait inciter les scientifiques à utiliser à l’avenir des spermatozoïdes inter-espèces pour la production d’immuno-contraceptifs à grande échelle.
