Vengono descritte tutte le fasi della preparazione tecnologica della produzione di pezzi ottenuti dal taglio con utensile non-core (elettrodo-filo) su attrezzature CNC EDM. I problemi di rappresentazione dell’area del pezzo in ambiente CAD/CAM per superfici lineari con diversi contorni superiori e inferiori sono considerati in dettaglio. Tali superfici con un profilo complesso si incontrano nella produzione di parti di stampi e matrici per la formazione di stampi. Si offrono raccomandazioni metodiche per risolvere i problemi di rappresentazione di tali contorni. Sono considerati quattro esempi specifici di applicazione del metodo sviluppato. Uno di questi è un’estensione del metodo conosciuto per produrre due parti da un pezzo con un metodo di separazione. Tuttavia, nel caso descritto, viene utilizzato il metodo di disconnessione sulla superficie di un profilo complesso, che ha permesso di ridurre il consumo di materiale fino al 30%.
