Selon les données de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS), environ 1 % de la population mondiale âgée de plus de 65 ans est atteinte de la maladie de Parkinson. Les recherches menées dans le cadre de ce projet ont montré que la maladie ne touche pas seulement les personnes âgées, mais que de plus en plus de jeunes découvrent qu’ils en sont atteints. On a également découvert que les jeunes patients recherchent des informations sur la maladie sur l’internet, tandis que les personnes plus âgées se tournent vers des supports plus anciens tels que les DVD. Il a été possible d’analyser qu’il n’existe pas de matériel varié développé pour ce public, et il a été remarqué que le matériel existant sur les réseaux sociaux n’est pas adapté, car il est ancien, fait de manière artisanale et contient des informations qui ne correspondent pas à la réalité des patients. Ce projet consiste à produire une série de vidéos pour renforcer la physiothérapie appliquée dans les cliniques et les associations pour les patients atteints de la maladie de Parkinson. Cette production vise à collaborer au traitement par des exercices, afin de promouvoir l’autonomie du patient dans un matériel crédible et un langage approprié. Les exercices ne remplacent pas les séances de physiothérapie, mais les complètent.
