This book explores the prevalence of scapular dyskinesis (SD) among hair salon workers aged 21 to 35. Scapular dyskinesis, a condition that alters normal shoulder movement and leads to muscle imbalance in the shoulder and scapular region, is particularly common in professions involving repetitive upper-limb activity-such as hairdressing. Despite its relevance, there is a noticeable lack of research focused specifically on this occupational group. By addressing this gap, the study contributes valuable age-specific data and offers a clearer understanding of how widespread SD is among hair salon workers. Such prevalence studies play an important role in identifying the magnitude of the problem, supporting the development of preventive strategies, and informing future research directions. This book represents an important step toward a more complete understanding of scapular dyskinesis in this workforce, helping bridge existing knowledge gaps and improving the management and prevention of this condition in the hairdressing profession.
