With the word ’purpose’ in the purposive, the word ’objective’ has been formed. Purpose means ’purpose’ or ’application’. ’Mulak’ means based. Therefore, a language used according to a specific purpose is called a purpose-oriented language. Thus, purpose-oriented Hindi means that applied specific form or style of Hindi which is used by specific linguistic structure for thematic and contextual purpose. The Hindi language is alive because of the purposeful form. Till today only literary Hindi was studied, but literary language makes any language situational and purposeful language makes it dynamic. Only dynamic language can survive and prevail in the present life. Today literature is also in Sanskrit, but its dynamic form-purposeful form has ended. The purposeful form of Hindi is more powerful and dynamic. The purposeful form of Hindi is helping in the development of Hindi, as well as making an important contribution in keeping it alive and popularizing it. In all these perspectives, these different forms or changes of a language by the social segments formed for different purposes are the purposeful forms of that language. In this book, purposeful Hindi has been presented in an easy-to-understand style by dividing it into small units according to the nature, tendency and usage of Hindi. Apart from the purposeful Hindi subject, many useful subjects like correspondence, translation, media writing, book review etc. are collected here.
