Prayer That Touches The Heart Of God

Prayer That Touches The Heart Of GodHave you ever wondered why some prayers seem to move the very heart of God while others feel empty and powerless? In Prayer That Touches The Heart Of God, Sandra Lott Smith takes you on a life-changing journey into the true nature of prayer as taught throughout Scripture.Beginning with an in-depth exploration of the Lord’s Prayer, you will discover the divine pattern Jesus gave for approaching God with reverence, faith, and confidence. You will then examine the lives of powerful men of God-including Moses, Abraham, Elijah, Elisha, Samuel, and Paul-and uncover the characteristics, attitudes, and prayers that brought extraordinary answers from Heaven. Most importantly, you will learn from the greatest example of all-Jesus Christ. Through His teachings and His own prayer life, you will discover that God is not looking for eloquent speeches, religious rituals, or attempts to manipulate Him. He is seeking hearts that are sincere, humble, honest, grateful, and fully surrendered to Him.If you desire a deeper relationship with God, a more effective prayer life, and a greater understanding of what truly touches His heart, this book will show you how to pray in a way that honors Him, glorifies Him, and invites His power to move in your life.'The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.' - Psalm 51:17 (NKJV)When prayer flows from a humble and sincere heart, it reaches the heart of God.
