Cette recherche analyse l’impact des pratiques managériales sur la performance des Mutuelles de Santé Communautaire (MASC) dans le cadre de la Couverture Maladie Universelle (CMU) au Sénégal. À travers une méthodologie qualitative et mixte axée sur la gouvernance participative et le développement organisationnel, elle identifie les enjeux et perspectives managériales. Les résultats révèlent que la forte dépendance aux cotisations des membres fragilise les mutuelles, tandis que la diversification des financements et les partenariats stratégiques renforcent leur viabilité. Une gouvernance participative accrue favorise la confiance et l’engagement communautaire. Le renforcement des compétences et l’usage d’outils modernes apparaissent essentiels pour optimiser les processus internes et répondre aux attentes des membres. L’étude souligne les défis structurels et propose des recommandations pratiques et théoriques pour améliorer les performances des MASC, tout en appelant à des recherches complémentaires.
