While teaching and being involved in biomedical research at a leading school of medicine in the U.S.A., he published numerous research articles in various human and veterinary medical journals. After retiring from biomedical research as Chairman of the Medical Schools Department of Comparative Medicine, he practiced small animal veterinary medicine for a number of years.He is now enjoying a happy retirement with his wife of almost fifty years, Betty. They spend their time between homes in Michigan and Florida in the United States of America.
