Spółdzielnie działają we wszystkich sektorach gospodarki i stanowią ważną platformę mobilizacji zasobów ludzkich i kapitałowych. Niniejsze badanie dotyczące postrzegania przez interesariuszy spółdzielczych kas oszczędnościowo-kredytowych (SACCO) zgodnie z powszechnie przyjętymi siedmioma zasadami spółdzielczości zostało przeprowadzone w formie ankiety i miało charakter opisowy. W badaniu wzięło udział 384 respondentów, w tym pracownicy lokalnych władz, operatorzy tras i użytkownicy matatu w hrabstwie Taita Taveta w Kenii. Przed analizą i interpretacją danych przeprowadzono stratyfikowane losowe badanie właścicieli matatu. Niniejsza książka zawiera przegląd postrzegania spółdzielni przez właścicieli matatu w kontekście dobrych i skutecznych polityk regulacyjnych mających na celu poprawę wyników działalności matatu w Voi w Kenii.
