Ziel dieser Untersuchung war es, die Rolle positiver Emotionen innerhalb des expressiven Schreibparadigmas zu erforschen, und zwar nicht als Ergebnis eines mehr oder weniger schmerzhaften Veränderungsprozesses, sondern als Agenten des Wandels, die in der Lage sind, die mit diesem Paradigma verbundenen Vorteile zu optimieren, wobei all diese Themen in den Zeitraum der Adoleszenz eingebettet sind. Anstatt zu signalisieren, können positive Emotionen also ein optimales Funktionieren bewirken und den Jugendlichen helfen, mit solchen Ereignissen umzugehen.
