O presente trabalho, intitulado 'Porque beleza não tem padrão: a transexualidade e o sentimento dos sujeitos que nasceram no gênero ’errado’', volta-se ao estudo dos direitos dos transexuais, que a todo o momento são violados e desrespeitados pelas pessoas que se comportam segundo os padrões de conduta considerados 'normais' em um determinado contexto social. Diante disso, busca-se em especial analisar o papel que os direitos humanos desempenham na efetivação imediata e na integração destes sujeitos, que são vulgarizados/vulnerabilizados por serem diferentes, nos aspectos físico, psíquico, jurídico e, principalmente, social. Pretende-se construir uma resposta eficiente para este problema de gênero enfrentado diariamente pelos transexuais 'inseridos' em uma sociedade marcada por preconceitos. Entende-se que é necessário refletir sobre o que realmente sentem estas pessoas que nasceram no gênero errado (será que existe mesmo um gênero certo?) e que sequer tem o direito de escolher por um gênero que melhor se adapte às suas reais necessidades.
