Pour diagnostiquer les troubles hématologiques, il existe trois méthodes d’examen de la moelle osseuse : la cytologie par ponction de moelle osseuse (BMA), la biopsie de moelle osseuse (BMB) et la cytologie par frottis (BMI). La BMA fournit une image cytologique, la BMI fournit également une image cytologique mais les cellules sont moins nombreuses, et la BMB fournit une image cytologique ainsi qu’une image de l’architecture de la moelle osseuse. La BMA seule peut ne pas être suffisante pour établir un diagnostic. C’est pourquoi la présente étude a été menée afin de comparer les trois modalités susmentionnées. Cet ouvrage est une étude prospective portant sur 51 cas, réalisée entre janvier 2013 et décembre 2013, dans le cadre de laquelle une BMA, une BMI et une BMB ont été réalisées sur des patients en consultation externe et hospitalisés. Des données cliniques complètes ont été enregistrées, notamment l’examen physique, l’étude hématologique complète ainsi que d’autres examens pertinents, et un formulaire a été rempli.
