The annual increase in the relative rates of overall mortality from CVD among the working-age population of the Republic of Uzbekistan is alarming, in particular, from 59.1% (82,036 people) in 2009 to 59.3% (79,239 people) in 2013 (Kurbanov R.D., 2013). Among patients with hypertension (HTN), major depression is detected in 15-25% of cases and symptoms of minor depression in 27% (Burg MM et al., 2010). Anxiety is recorded in 50% of hospitalized patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS), as a complication of hypertension, which is obviously associated with a threat to the life and ability to work of patients. Signs of stress were determined in 75% of patients with acute coronary syndromes, which pose a serious threat to life. After acute coronary syndrome, signs of post-traumatic stress disorder were detected in 12% of patients one year later (Wikman A. et al., 2009). Therefore, an analysis of the mutual influence between somatic and mental components is currently extremely relevant.The monograph presents the results of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, assessment of medical indicators of the quality of life according sleep disorders of patients with hypertension.
