Celem niniejszego badania było ustalenie, czy istnieje związek między rentownością i rozwojem MŚP a polityką podatkową rządu, w ramach której funkcjonują one w Kenii, a w szczególności w hrabstwie Uasin Gishu. Dane do niniejszego badania zostały zebrane ze źródeł pierwotnych i wtórnych. Narzędziami badawczymi były kwestionariusze, wywiady i analiza dokumentów, a badana populacja składała się z pracowników i kadry kierowniczej MŚP w hrabstwie Uasin Gishu w Kenii, którzy stanowili próbę badawczą. W badaniu zastosowano projekt badawczy o charakterze wyjaśniającym. Badacz doszedł do wniosku, że polityka podatkowa rządu miała znaczący wpływ na rentowność i wzrost MŚP poprzez pozytywny i negatywny wpływ na zyski i wzrost. Badacz ma nadzieję, że niniejsze badanie pobudzi debatę na temat polityki podatkowej rządu w odniesieniu do rentowności i wzrostu MŚP, a tym samym zmobilizuje społeczeństwo i rząd do wsparcia MŚP.
