'Political Sociology of Modern Society: A Teaching and Methodological Course' is focused on forming a systemic understanding among students regarding the social dimension of politics, the patterns of political behavior and participation, the mechanisms of power legitimation, as well as the role of social groups, elites, and institutions in the political process. The course draws on classical and modern theoretical approaches to political sociology presented in the works of M. Weber, K. Marx, V. Pareto, R. Michels, P. Bourdieu, S. Lipset, and other researchers, and takes into account contemporary empirical research in the field of political processes and public opinion. The teaching and methodological course is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students in the social sciences and humanities, and can also be useful for teachers and researchers interested in the problems of political sociology. The materials in the manual contribute to the development of analytical thinking, the formation of skills for the critical analysis of political processes, and a conscious understanding of the role of the individual and social groups in the political life of society.
