Tom Catalano and his daughter Emma Catalano have combined their talents for poetry writing and their passion for Jesus and published their first book of faith-based poems. Both authors contributed poems to their 96-page paperback book titled, POEMS FOR HIS GLORY. Some poems tell a story, some recreate a special moment, some use analogy, and some are tributes and reflections. While each poem is unique and original, they all share this in common: they all reflect the love, caring, forgiveness, and majesty of God.Most of the 44  poems rhyme, which easily move the reader through the thoughts and emotions being conveyed. Some of the poems include: ‘Hope,’ ‘What God Gives,’ ‘God Is Kind And Merciful,’ ‘Guardian Angel,’, ‘Heaven,’ ‘I’ll Ask The Lord,’ ‘When He Comes Back,’ ‘A Cross To Bear,’ ‘The Heart Of Love,’ ‘Repaid,’ ‘The Night Before Jesus,’ ‘The Innkeeper,’ and ‘The Mission.’“If our poems reassure someone of God’s presence or makes them feel loved, blessed, or forgiven, they will have done their job,” Tom explained.Tom serves as a Liturgical Reader and Parish Council Secretary at his church, is a member of the Knights of Columbus, and volunteers with the American Rescue Workers – the local food bank in his community. Emma Catalano is a graduate of Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Communication. She is a Liturgical Reader and a Eucharistic Minister at her church, and works at the American Rescue Workers.POEMS FOR HIS GLORY has been reviewed and endorsed by several respected theologians:Sister Ann Shields, SGL an internationally-known evangelist writes: “Simple words, simple poetic style — profound truth! Parents should read these poems to their children and reflect on them together. (POEMS FOR HIS GLORY is) a genuine tool to lay the foundation for catechesis.”Rev. Malachi Van Tassell, T.O.R., Ph.D., President of Saint Francis University, writes: “A beautiful collection of God-inspired poetry. The reader should expect to feel God’s presence while reading poems that are truly expressions of faith.”Rev. Anthony Legarski, Pastor of Saint Mary Church in Hollidaysburg, PA, writes: “In this splendid and delightful collection, Tom and Emma Catalano keep us grounded in the realization of God’s extraordinary presence in our ordinary lives.”

‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....
