I was born and raised in Central Florida, and married at a very young age.Shortly after marriage, I became the Mother of Two wonderful sons. ’Thus my education was put on hold until much later. After retiring form the field of Public Relations, I moved to the East Coast.Having always dreamed, of living this near to the ocean, I soon found so much of my inspirations here.I felt it was the key that unlocked all of what I had always dreamed of becoming, A published author.I never expected to jump out there at first with leaps and bounds, so I got my feet dampened first by writing poetry. I am also working on my firstnovel, (War’s Amazing Grace), as well as children’s book (’The Jessie GreenForest).I always felt that my life was moving much to fast, and soon learned a very important lesson, and that was, it doesn’t matter how many Sheep Skins onemay or may not have earned in their lifetime, there is no better education than what everyone of us receives from the 'School Of Hard Knocks.' Lifegives to each of us an on-hand experience, a full Measure. We are soon taught that we have our own ways of dealing with what life may, or may not offerto us. Sometimes we must all try and deal with that part we have been handed to play out life’s role. If we practiced hard on our own individual part’sto play on life’s stage, at the end of our final curtain call, who knows? We may all get that standing ovation, when in the very beginning started outto be, but a mere dream.

  • Polishing the Silver
    Jennifer Chrystie
‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. Figures who could so easily flit like phantoms in her well honed poetry are palpably enjoying an after-life in the poet’s ability to redeem through deep understanding. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

  • One Kiss
    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....
