Praca ta została przeprowadzona w ramach oceny rocznej działalności poradni reumatologicznej w sektorze prywatnym w Mali. Jest to badanie retrospektywne i opisowe dotyczące oceny konsultacji reumatologicznych w Centrum Diagnostyki i Leczenia (CDT) w okresie od 1 stycznia do 31 grudnia 2005 r., czyli w ciągu 12 miesięcy. Ocena objęła 169 pacjentów. Stwierdziliśmy, że schorzenia reumatologiczne nie są rzadkością, pomimo początkowego etapu rozwoju „reumatologii przychodniowej'. Przeważają kobiety, a stosunek płci wynosi 1,34. Najczęściej dotknięte były gospodynie domowe i handlowcy. Ból krzyża był głównym powodem wizyt (41,83%). Artroza była najczęstszą chorobą (95,42%), głównie kręgosłupa. Dna była najczęstszym zapaleniem stawów o podłożu metabolicznym (94,11%). Reumatoidalne zapalenie stawów było dominującą chorobą autoimmunologiczną.
