Pieces of Me is a collection of short stories, poems and verse presentedunder eight themes:Beauty, Eternal Essence, Dreams, Perfection, Destiny, Reflection,Reality and Higher Dimensionality. The first four themes relate to our connection with the physical world and, in particular, our relationships within it. The last four themes take us beyond the physical realm by challenging us to consider the relationship we have with our Selves, our own Higher Dimensionality.Because, you see, Rachel, love is the key that unlocks us and brings us to our Selves. I mean real love, not the worlds version of it, for real love is a reflection of being and this world knows only how not to be . . . . To face the truth of our own reflection we must be ready and to be ready we must know our own worth.Like the Stopper in the Vial (6th story)Active conscious creation . . . when our hearts and minds are aligned we imagine what we create and we create what we imagine. The Traveller and the Book (7th story)

    Jennifer Chrystie
‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. Figures who could so easily flit like phantoms in her well honed poetry are palpably enjoying an after-life in the poet’s ability to redeem through deep understanding. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....

  • The Truth about A
    Maureen O'Shaughnessy
In his interpretation of Antigone, Seamus Heaney says, ‘Nobody can be sure they are always right.’ Maureen O’Shaughnessy’s The Truth about A further attends to this idea through various readings of the myth as portrayed by Sophocles, Brecht, Ted Hughes, Anne Carson and, most particularly, Euripides. Set in contemporary Sydney, among a fictional underworld family, The Truth abou...

The Messiah Perspective is a series of stories, like linked stepping stones of transformation, each one of which contains the truth of human existence - our psychology and spirituality, our true nature, our reality - as I see it. These stories are the path I have trodden as I cut a swathe through the layers of programming, harmful beliefs, learned behaviours, and misguided mind...

Humanity believes we 'walked out of Africa' as ape-like beings over two-hundred-thousand years ago and evolved into modern humans, but even Charles Darwin himself knew his theory of evolution could not explain how we came to be here.  Evolution is, in actual fact, a much-slower process, and there are just too many gaps in the evolutionary chain from the early ape-like b...
