In my search for materials to teach a neighborhood bible study, God gave me the idea to use pictures, objects and parts of the body to help children memorize the scriptures.Mary Spann has taught in the Arkansas Public School System for over thirty years. She grew up in Jackson, MS and attended Jackson State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, later earning a Master of Science in Education at Ouachita Baptist University. She and her husband Silas were stationed in Arkansas by the United States Air Force, where they still reside with their two children Keisha and Silas. She was inspired by the Holy Spirit to create lesson plans for her neighborhood bible study. This bible study lasted for over five years. After each lesson was completed, she would show the students pictures and point to parts of the body to enable them to memorize scriptures in one class setting. It was from these experiences that she was inspired to write this book.
