The Piano Scales, Chords, and Arpeggios Book by Peter Vogl is an important reference point and learning device for the well rounded piano player. This book was designed to help piano players progress easier and further in their understanding of scales and arpeggios. In each major and minor section, there are five note scales as well as one and two octave scales. The five note scale is a great beginning path for the piano player and also a good exercise. The arpeggios have a one octave arpeggio as well as two octave arpeggios with inversions. The one octave arpeggio is a great starting point for the new piano player. This book also includes the harmonic and melodic minor scales, not just the natural minor. The scales, cadences, and arpeggios have each note fingered to make them easier to read.
