It is important for the performer to have a subtle understanding and feeling for the psychology of the listener, a keen sense of the aesthetic demands and moods of the audience, an accurate conveyance of the author’s intention, the ability to subjugate the audience to their will, and the ability to awaken beautiful aesthetic feelings and a creative mood in the listener.
