In this work we talk briefly about the definition and important studies of variable stars, and the definition and advantage of CCD technique. We talk also about some important CCD terminology and how we can use the CCD technique to observe, reduction and analysis the photometric and spectroscopic data of variable stars. Finally we give true example for Kottamia observing technique with the variable star NSV 5904.
