In diesem Buch werden drängende Fragen des täglichen Lebens der Bürger erörtert. Themen wie Politik, Ethik, Bildung, Erkenntnistheorie und Kultur sind Teil dieses Buches. In der Politik wird darauf hingewiesen, dass nicht das gesamte gesellschaftliche Leben als politisch angesehen wird. In der ethischen Perspektive werden der Beitrag der Ethik im öffentlichen Dienst und der Beitrag der Ubuntu-Ethik im Verwaltungsprozess diskutiert. In Bezug auf die Bildung wird in dem Text argumentiert, dass die philosophische Ausbildung in den Händen von Meistern liegen sollte. Auf der erkenntnistheoretischen Achse macht der Text auf die Möglichkeit aufmerksam, dass sich die afrikanische Philosophie nicht der westlichen Philosophie beugt. Die Entkolonialisierung des Geistes ist von grundlegender Bedeutung, damit die Afrikaner ihren eigenen Weg zur Lösung ihrer Probleme finden können. Das Thema Kultur ist das letzte, das in diesem Buch behandelt wird. Dieses Thema wurde aus einer interkulturellen Perspektive heraus entwickelt.
