'Water' was the theme of the 176th Anniversary Annual Meeting of the Philosophical Society of Texas, which was held February 14-16, 2014. The Proceedings include a list of Society members and board members in 2014, a summary of the weekend’s activities, transcriptions or summaries of meeting sessions, and biographical information on speakers and members who passed the previous year.  President Ron Tyler organized the program with assistance from William W. Meadows and Andrew Sansom. The speakers discussed water policy, law, and regulation, and their applications and challenges. Sessions included 'The Texas Water Plan,' 'Water Conservation,' and 'Conflict between Ground and Surface Water in Texas Water Law. Participants included: Ed Archuleta, Carole Baker, Carolyn Brittin, Fernando Costa, Greg Ellis, Robert Glennon, Karen Guz, Stephen M. Harrigan, Russell Johnson, Ron Kaiser, Mary Kelly, Ken Kramer, Schuyler Marshall, Tom Mason, William W. Meadows, Carlos Rubinstein, Andrew Sansom, Evan Smith and Ron Tyler.
