Tendo em vista os avanços e as contribuições que as pesquisas baseadas em corpora têm representado para a área dos Estudos da Tradução de um modo geral, este livro tem por objetivo apresentar parte dos resultados obtidos em pesquisas desenvolvidas no âmbito do Projeto PETra: Padrões de Estilo de Tradutores: investigação em corpora eletrônicos de traduções literárias, especializadas e juramentadas em nível de mestrado e doutorado. No tocante aos trabalhos apresentados neste livro, os membros do grupo de pesquisas integradas pelo PETra, que hoje já se encontra em sua segunda versão (PETra II), buscaram desenvolver, por meio de uma abordagem interdisciplinar, característica a ser destacada no projeto, uma reflexão sobre suas vertentes teóricas de pesquisa, assim como descrições metodológicas e análises de aspectos relativos à tradução, com base em corpora eletrônicos de textos literários, especializados e juramentados.
