Niniejsza praca stanowi próbę opisania uprzedzeń i terroryzmu w kontekście międzyreligijnym w Indonezji. Omawia ona dwie kwestie podzielone na dwa konkretne tematy. Temat 1 dotyczy zjawiska pojawienia się fundamentalizmu religijnego i terroryzmu. Temat 2 dotyczy przyczynowego procesu uprzedzeń i ich przejawów w relacjach międzyreligijnych. Temat 1 jest omawiany w dwóch rozdziałach poświęconych wynikom różnych badań: sekcja 1 bada motywy i przyczyny pojawienia się działań terrorystycznych w Indonezji; sekcja 2 koncentruje się na zrozumieniu, kiedy i w jaki sposób akty terroryzmu są popierane i potępiane przez islamskich fundamentalistów w Indonezji. Temat 2 składa się z trzech rozdziałów, w których przedstawiono pojęcie metaprzywilejów wewnątrzgrupowych (sposób, w jaki członkowie grupy postrzegają sposób, w jaki ich grupa postrzega grupę zewnętrzną) oraz metaprzywilejów zewnętrznych (sposób, w jaki członek grupy wewnętrznej postrzega sposób, w jaki jego grupa jest postrzegana przez członków grupy zewnętrznej). W trzech sekcjach przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczących związku między meta-uprzedzeniami a uprzedzeniami, a sposób, w jaki członkowie grupy postrzegają opinie innych, odgrywa kluczową rolę w kształtowaniu relacji międzygrupowych i postrzegania.
