Efforts to replace my beloved Dorothy, who died of breast cancer, let to romantic sagas, and final success with marriage to Karen.The pre-World War II farm life that I describe has now markedly changed. Modem medicine is constantly making strides for diagnoses and for medical and surgicaltreatment successes. Some methods to meet a marriage partner have changed, but time-honored methods continue to be sound.An adolescent dream of world travel was achieved by attending surgical and medical conventions and by joining travel groups visiting cities and countries on six continents. Readers can compare their future travel experiences to my travel experiences and observations.The transition to a 'retired' lifestyle permitted the opportunity of supporting charitable causes after a long professional career at the Lovelace Sandia Health System in New Mexico.Robert S.
