When my children were young, we spent a lot of time at the park. We had our favorites, but onepark in particular always sparked their imaginations. It was a magical place where their pretendadventures knew no bounds. As I watched them play, running and laughing, my ownimagination began to run wild. What if their make-believe adventures were real?There was even a playful squirrel that would join in, and the kids would pretend it was amonster, racing away in fits of laughter. I imagined the slide as a thrilling escape route, and themonkey bars as a bridge over a dangerous swamp. Before I knew it, the story practically wroteitself in a matter of minutes.After holding onto this idea for over 20 years, I’m excited to finally share it with you.
