These Parables for Plain People are all drawn from his varied life experiences. He spent thirty-five years in the advertising business as an account executive and copywriter.Jack has spent thirty years practicing the chair caner’s craft, repairing, restoring, and re-caning chairs, rockers, and wicker furniture. During that time, he has taught caning classes and demonstrated caning skills at numerous arts and crafts fairs and folk schools.Although now retired to Knoxville, Tennessee, Jack still maintains his caning talents while also engaging in a number of areas of ministry, including mission trips to several foreign fields around the world.
