L’examen des publications contemporaines sur l’utilisation du peroxyde d’hydrogène dans l’oxydation des hydrocarbures permet de diviser ces recherches en trois chapitres complets : 1) oxydation biomimétique, 2) oxydation à l’échelle industrielle et 3) aspects écologiques - l’oxydation comme remède pour nettoyer les sols et les réservoirs d’eau contaminés. Ce travail passe en revue les publications de la dernière décennie sur l’oxydation des hydrocarbures par le peroxyde d’hydrogène dans le cadre de l’oxydation biomimétique, de l’aspect environnemental et de l’utilisation de catalyseurs nanodimensionnels à base de carbone. Pratiquement tous les articles contemporains importants répertoriés dans la base de données électronique Thomson Reuters ont été pris en compte.
