Paul Michaels is a retired US Army Green Beret living with his family in rural West Virginia. During his time in the army, he had been deployed to numerous countries around the world, including several combat deployments to Afghanistan. Not only were he and his friends close, but they all shared a passion for readiness and training. They trained together, they had parties with all the families, and they all believed, really believed, that in an emergency, the best chance of survival was to pull together as a team.
