Over the Hill to Valhalla

Peace on Valhalla has barely begun when the threat of war returns.Only a year has passed since Christian and his companions survived the brutal conflict against Morath and his flesh-eater legions. The survivors are rebuilding their lives, raising families, and daring to believe that Valhalla might finally become the peaceful home they fought to protect. Then three escaped prisoners arrive with intelligence that changes everything. On the hostile world of Kragorth, Morath’s son Kaelor is gathering a new invasion force. He has forged dangerous alliances, expanded his armies, and begun developing weapons capable of threatening not only Valhalla but neighbouring worlds. Among his allies are ruthless mercenaries, advanced humanoid warriors, and leaders whose ambitions may prove as dangerous to one another as they are to Christian’s people.Faced with an enemy growing stronger by the day, Christian refuses to wait behind Valhalla’s defences. With his trusted band of former soldiers, Viking warriors, humanoid allies, battle cruisers, ancient technology, and a daring plan built on intelligence stolen from the heart of Kragorth, he prepares to take the fight directly to the enemy. But Kragorth is no ordinary battlefield. Its fortresses conceal laboratories, experimental weapons, genetically engineered horrors, and secrets left behind by ancient civilisations. Its nights belong to monstrous predators. Its rulers are preparing for conquest. And every decision Christian makes carries the lives of his family, his friends, and an entire world with it.As fleets move through dimensional rifts and rival powers manoeuvre for control, Christian is forced to confront more than another war. Questions surrounding his destiny, the mysterious powers connected to Valhalla, and the forces watching from beyond the known worlds are becoming impossible to ignore. At the centre of the spectacle is a battle-tested brotherhood whose humour and loyalty survive even when the odds turn grim. Their shared past as soldiers on Earth gives the story a grounded human core, while Valhalla’s warriors, strange creatures, sentient machines, and cosmic mysteries keep expanding the scale of the saga.Over the Hill to Valhalla: Starbound Retribution is a fast-moving science fiction adventure blending military action, space opera, advanced technology, Viking-inspired mythology, loyalty, friendship, sacrifice, and dark humour.
