This book was inspired to encourage those who find it difficult to read the Bible.I combined my love for poetry with my love of reading God’s Word, and found that I was remembering and quoting scriptures unconsciously. There is a long list of qualified reference material available to help understand the language of the Holy Bible. However, I hope you enjoy reading the story of Jesus in rhymes, and find this book to be helpful, and encouraging in your study of the Word.Dora Butler Simpkins, a member of New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. She is a wife, mother, and grandmother. After early retirement, she began a new life in which she made spiritual growth a top priority. It is her daily study of the Bible that has added a very certainty to her life.Since writing poems had also become a part of her new life, she was inspired to put the story of Jesus to poetry, using rhymes and every day language. It is her prayer that this book will encourage others to read the Bible.

The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...
